babysis - You're trying to use a logical, rational, well-supported argument against I2AM4AndyChristianOmega, and we all know how well that goes over. Smile, pat him on the head, and walk away --BDT sparty And he would learn what by doing that? If nothing else he and I are making each other think and therefore learn a little. At some point one of us will just have to shake the dust from our feet and walk, but we haven't been talking long enough for that yet! ;D Thanks for your concern though.

babysis,
Sterility in women is a separate issue. A sterile woman isn't less female. Women who have gone through the menopause are no less female, even though they can no longer have children. We were talking about people with gender identity problems, not infertile women. As for Traffic Demon, he hasn't got anything sensible to say, so I won't even bother answering his childish post.

I think both of you need to quit the childish bickering.
Andy (or is your real name really Christian?),
You were trying to show what made a woman and what didn't. I was trying to tell you that physical parts is what makes a woman a woman, you said that no, it was whether or not she could have children. I showed you that whether or not a woman could have children does not determine if a person is a woman because of the example I gave, sterile woman and you also gave a good example, woman who have gone through menopause.
So if it's not the physical parts and it's not the ability to have children... what makes a woman a woman?

babysis,
The disagreement that I had with Traffic Demon on the subject of Darwinism taught me an invaluable lesson: that people like him are not worth arguing with. I now accept that some people will insist in believing nonsense, while others will see sense. It's rather like those people who make little idols for themselves, which they then bow down to worship. Silly, really.
Christian.

babysis,
You were born female, right? You already had your female sex organs, right? So you can't be male.....
And both of my names are true, for the following reasons: 1. My parents gave me the name Andy. 2. "Christian" is what a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is called, and I'm a Christian. 3. Christian is also a male name. ;D
And I actually prefer to be called "Christian"

If it is a matter of what you are born with then we are back to hermaphradites. People born with both sex organs. So are they both male and female?

The parents of such children need to wait for them to become mature enough to be asked what gender they want to be. Then their confused, physical gender-identity can be surgically corrected. Christian.

Christian. I would have to research it some more, but just from my own thoughts the children would be that much more confused when they have both parts growing up until they can choose what gender to be. And I don't know how hard it would be to do it later in life.

A person born with both genitalia is neither male nor female...one cannot simply choose one. Even for those unlucky few who do have parents who choose for them, they are never "fully" male or female...they require horomones and such to increase that gender they have chosen... To say that one can choose this or "figure it out" with the help of a medical doctor would only support the gay argument, anyway! Those who are born with both are born with both for a reason...and for man to try to "correct God's error" through surgery and drugs seems offensive in the least...

Mook, God intends all human beings to be born male or female. Usually it becomes apparent by a certain age whether a child born with both genitalia was meant to be born physically male or physically female. Of course it's possible that such a child may never be fully male or female. But God can restore that child. And if surgery is the means by which it is to be done, then so be it! As for gays, they are mentally confused about their sexual orientation. Christian.
