I think it is a neat thing to have. One, it allows homosexual students to be an enviroment where they can learn without fear. Two, not that I agree this right, but it keeps those students whose parents don't want them exposed to other lifestyles away from it. You will never be able to please everyone. I support the idea 110%.

So children who are overweight and get picked on should have a school of their own? Children who are introverts should have a school of their own? Children who are unrulely should have a school of their own? Where will it end <><

Where will it end <>< I see your point, but in general kids with these "conditions" aren't beaten to death (e.g. Matthew Sheppard) for having them.

donkeydude: ...In Birmingham they love governer, we all did what we could do...
layer: That's ambiguous. This however, isn't:
Sweet home Alabama Oh sweet home baby Where the skies are so blue AND THE GOVERNOR'S TRUE
BTW, Wallace appeared on Jerry Falwell's "The Old-Time Gospel Hour" in 1974.

I do not know how you came to the conclusion that homosexual students need a separate environment in order to learn without fear, but in my school, that is definetly not a problem. By the way, the top percent you can support anything is 100%, unless it is in gym cpkmtyoll. Then it can be changed.

As much as I love the fact that in a school like that, the kids would be safe (within the boundaries of the school itself, anyway. After all, no one can stop people from waiting 'til these kids get out of school and beating them to death then.), I have to say that I'm not entirely up on this being a public school specifically for one group. A private school would be a great idea, even though far fewer people could afford it then, but as Lucas says, this is like state-supported segregation. I'll have to talk to my gay friends and find out if they've heard about it and see how they feel.

PIC, Bill
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynrd Skynrd is a response to the song Southern Man by Neil Young. If you listen to the lyrics, you can hear Lynrd talking about Neil Young. (I loved my history cpkmtyoll I learned this in!)

I think it is a bad idea. I posted why in the discussion forum, but here is the gist of it. I think it keeps both the gay and straight students from learning to coexist, etc.
