Do you believe in UFOs?
Why or Why Not?
I don't believe they are aliens from other planets. I can't begin to believe that God would not let us know about them.

Oooo, good topic! I don't think there is life on other planets, but not for the same reason you listed. If God saw fit to give life on other planets it's logical and even reasonable to conclude He has the same rules for them as for us. SO 1) Either life on the other planet(s) is holy and perfect or it is not. 2) If it is holy and perfect, then how did we get stuck on the schmucky planet that isn't holy and perfect? 3) If it is not holy and perfect, and thus separated from the Creator as we were, how did they get stuck on the schmucky planet that doesn't have a path to salvation? Consider: 1 Peter 3: 18 For Christ died for sins once for all and He did it here on Earth. That's my nutshell reasoning for rejecting the notion of life on other planets. Who's next? Blessings! LJ

I think there is a very good chance that life exists somewhere else in the universe, but it's pretty unlikely that any of it has been flying around our backwoods inappropriately probing our more alcoholically enhanced citizenry. Best explanation of UFOs is that too many people are willing to adopt a fantastic explanation in favor of a more plausible mundane one.

LJ My beliefs are pretty much on the same lines as yours LJ for the exact reasons you specified. However, I do believe that there could be life on other planets. It is just that the life that could be on other planets would not be self-aware (i.e. intelligent, able to make ethical decisions, etc). Basically, plants and animals and not anything human-like that would require salvation.

Alright, alright, I'm going to impersonate someone who is impersonating someone else. See if you can guess who is the impersonator and who is being impersonated:
"Uh, first of all, like chicks dig me and stuff, like okay. Second, uh, like I believe UFOs probably like evolved from monkeys like billions of years ago. Oh, and uh, did I like mention that I'm like pretty, so pretty and stuff? And like one more thing. Chicks like dig me. Uh, did I like already mention that already? But yeah, anyway, I believe in like space dudes, 'cause I saw 'em on TV and movies before. If I, uh, like met some of them, like the alien chicks would probably like dig me and stuff. That'd be cool, like, ya' know. Which, uh, like, brings up the question, do I, uh, like, believe in interterrestial dating and stuff? Well, uh, since I'm so pretty, and they were like hot and stuff, ya' know, I'd definitely go for it, dude. It like wouldn't be right to deprive the ET chicks from all this."
So, anyone have a clue? And remember, it's just a parody. All in good fun.

Do I believe in UFO's - yes. UFO stands for unidentified flying object. Certainly, every flying object can NOT be identified by every citizen, so therefore we would have things flying around that SOME people can't identify.
BUT, that does not mean that the UFO came from some place outside of Earth's atmosphere. It also does not mean that there are life forms from planets other then Earth. There could be, but there is no significant evidence to support that belief imofwiw.

Okay, no one took a stab at it. The impersonator was Butthead, the one being impersonated was Aunt Ronda...no just kidding, we all know who it was. ;D
And TD, glad you took it with the humor it was intended. ;D

Ronda,
Before I became a Christian, I was a great believer in UFOs and aliens from outer space. But since I've become a Christian, the Lord has showed me that they are demonic. As I was talking to a man at a Christian conference about UFOs, I said I believed that they were demonic, and he agreed with me because he had a most amazing experience that would take too long for me to tell you about. To give you a very brief summary, he told me that he told them to "leave in the name of Jesus", and they left immediately. Remember, it says in the Bible that Satan was cast out of Heaven with a third of the angels, and they are now deceiving the unbelieving world.
Love in Christ, Rock.

I haven't posted FOREVER but this is one topic I am interested in and totally agree with your demon theory! It just makes too much sense. On top of that I once read in a website about a visionary of Mary that She claimed to be such also. Interesting.

LJ Yes, I do believe there is life on not only other planets, but in different realities, etc (God is infinite, it would be narrow-minded and a bit egotistical to assume "we are it".) The rules would not necessarily have to be the same for every race....especially when considering life in other realities and dimensions (God is above any Law..He could make vastly different sets of rules, it's his right to do so.). It would also be logical to assume, that if there are other beings, they might be in different states: some fallen, some not, etc The reason we are not in a "holy and perfect" situation is because of the Fall. It is not logical to assume that all other races of beings made the same choice...they would have free will, just as Adam and Eve did...some probably remained obedient. As to Aunt Rhonda's statement, God doesn't have to tell us anything. It says in the Bible that God has his secrets...this might be one of them God bless

Anything is possible..even life on other planets. Even life that may have figured out how to travel here...though why they would want to is beyond me It is somewhat egocentric to think that in the vastness of the universe, we are the only planet with intelligent life. Take a look at these photos..makes you really wonder.. At least, it does me: wires.news.com.au/special/mm/030811-hubble.htm#00-titlepage2
