Simply came to mind when I read a post referring to the Preterist (second coming is past) and Historicist (only second coming remains unfulfilled) as deceptions and those who agree with those eschatological views are working for the devil...
Anyway, just wanted to see if it was a majority belief or not... Thanks

If they have received Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour they are saved. If they have not they are lost.

Only God knows what's in a persons heart. Some people may not fully understand all the predictions and promises for the future. (I'm still trying to figgure some of it out) ;D I know I believe in God's promises for the future! If the, person has accepted the Lord as their saviour; they will have salvation.

Salvation depends on whther one repents and receives Christ.
Heresy is teaching a doctrine contrary to the truth.
A person can be a heretic in one area but still be saved.
I believe the teaching that the Second Coming has already occurred is heresy, being contrary to scipture. And I believe historicists are wrong in teaching that the Papacy is the AC, and in other things.

I think heresy applied to those who believed in contrary beliefs about Jesus Christ or the Trinity. Preterists and Historicists are just plain wrong but they are still Christians. What counts is that you believe in the main doctrines of Christianity, i.e. Divinity of Christ, Christ's death and resurrection, Trinity, etc. I don't think churches throw out heretics like they used to.

Just because you accept the Roman catholic Jesuit furturistic method of interpretation of prophecy doesn't make you a judge as they thought they were. The fact is that both the preterist and the futuristic methods were the brain childs of the Roman cc and you' ve been duped into accepting one of them as truth.
The only valid method of understanding prophecy is by the historicist method and it proves true every time, unlike the futurist where things have to be assumed and misread. All of the Reformers used the historicist method before they were tricked into believing that the papacy WASN'T the antiChrist. When they started using the futuristic method, they began to teach as you state and it's just wrong.
