I was sooooooo disappointed that it was not Buck who made it to the Glorious Appearing.
I would have liked longer reunion scenes......
The part in the stables where Satan left Carpathia's body briefly was so eerie.
Can't wait for others' comments.

ooh, i totally agree!! although i two would have liked longer reunions at the end -- i can already see the sequal -- they ended with the revelations quote for a reason!! i enjoyed hearing the name (if only once) of one of the young trib force members when chang was on the computer.
got it yesterday afternoon and poured myself into it. wil probably read again soon! there was so much and i think they did a wonderful job with the "end" of the beginning!!
i have to go check the ray or buck thread -- you know now i can't even remember who i tought it was!!

I am very eager for the sequel and prequel to come out.
I can't believe that the story is over.....sniffle, sniffle......but the prequel/sequel books will help.
It has been such a great series.

you know it really has been a great series. it was the first five books that made me stop and reevulate my life and the direction i was heading. sure it was "only a story" but... what IF... even this book -- i cried, not about the charachters but about me - what type of charachter I'VE been.
can't wait to read it again!!

I bought the book on the way to work yesterday morning and read it through last night. All I can say is WOW. You will NOT be disappointed. He does not tease then not deliver. If you'll recall in the final book of the Narnia Chronicles CS Lewis concludes that "each day was better than the last and their adventures had just begun." OK here's the spoiler

I'm SO GLAD that the author used his imagination and really gives us the good stuff - what the Return may look like, what we might see and hear, things Jesus might say, etc. It was VERY powerful having Jesus speak His own word - the Word of God. I think he also presented a very accurate picture of Jesus. He's crowned with the glory and honor He deserves, but He's still Jesus whom we've loved our whole lives and who loves us. He is the just judge and king but His affection for His people is easily observable. It seriously whets my appetite for the real thing!

You actually thought that the authors made a good use of their imagination? They took the easiest way out in almost all of what Jesus said! It was all a direct copy from the Bible! They didn't even come up with an original idea of what Jesus could have said! Yes, it is powerful for Jesus to repeat what He said in the Bible, but He will say a LOT more than that! Once again, I am dissappointed in the apparent lack of writing talent by the authors, who started a series with such promise.

PhilipDC78 - "Once again, I am dissappointed in the apparent lack of writing talent by the authors, who started a series with such promise."
You read my mind. The series was once very focused, but began to collapse under its own weight even before the halfway point. Instead of ending the series when the writing was still halfway strong, they've dragged it out to the point that I just gave up on the books. I hope nobody's surprised that they're keeping their cash cow around for a few more disappointments - er - books.
