......Now his real life begins...... I don't say that to minimize all the great things he has done during his earthly life, only that he has now attained what we all long for..... God bless

How wonderful for JPII!!! How sad for us all...yet we all have his wonderful example to follow to "Be not afraid" on our journey to Jesus.
I think that what made him so loved by so many of all faiths was that he truly was our spiritual father on earth. He acted like he was everyone's spiritual father and not just to the Catholics, as all Catholics are taught that the Pope is. So many people of all faiths responded to that love.
God Bless JPII and us all Ann

Pope John Paul II wasn't my spiritual father, God is. I accept that he was a good man, but he wasn't infallible when it came to Christian doctrine.
He was a man of peace though.
Andy.

Andy, God is a Catholic person's spiritual Father, also. That is why I said JPII was our spiritual father on earth. He is the servant of the servants of God. He stood up and spoke about morals, peace and freedom and was not just talking to Catholics. Catholics and non-Catholics responded. That is what I admired about him. He did not just walk the walk, he talked the talk. God Bless you and yours, Ann

It is nice to have time to get back and see everyone again. Just been way too busy, lately with work and that grandson of mine. He is 20 months old now and keeps us all on our toes. I have a second grandbaby due in July. I am very saddened that our world has lost this great man, yet happy at the same time that he now sees God's face. I envision the reunion as is in the signature picture I used to have. He is home at last... God Bless you and yours, Ann

boy ann - you're right on the mark today! I agree and your picture did say it all! wonderful news about the news grandbaby! hopefully your grandson won't be in the midst of the "terrible twos" at an inopertune time ; )
i know the timing isn't good for your grandchildren - not having the direction of such a great Pope - however - he has started some wonderful movements in the Rcc and prayerfully, they will continue forward. God's blessings on you AND yours!
