We never see jobs advertised for philosophers. So do we need them? And what exactly is philosophy? Any ideas? And you can be as philosophical as you like with this one. ;D

Someone always needs to be question what is commonly accepted because it may just be wrong. All of western culture is pretty much built on the thinking of ancient greek philosophers Sorates, Plato, and Aristotle are the most famous of those. Philosophy like any other academic disipline finds its home at Universites and places of higher education so I would have disagree that the are no "job listings" for philosophers.

How philosophical would you say these boards are? On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an H.

Does a philosopher have to be academically trained, or is it in his genes?

Can "pon" be resurrected, and just what is its secret?

I wonder, could it be from another dimension? I once read, somewhere, that scientists believe there's at least 10 dimensions. Personally, I've never seen direct or indirect evidence for their existence. But who knows, and does anyone really care?
I guess it's a bit like those people who claim that time travels forward. Question: If it's travelling, where's it going? Certainly it's not like a physical object that you can see, or hear, or taste, or smell, or touch and feel, or hold, or throw, or bounce off a solid object that's travelling through our galaxy, or someone else's. I always keep an open mind about the possibility, however slim, that ET really is out there somewhere and may know "pon" intimately. Won't say anything more as I do not wish to run the risk of bearing false witness against the "pon", or ET for that matter..... ;D

Can "pon" be resurrected, and just what is its secret? it's hard to explain and maybe the others will have a better explaination for you but.... basically pon was a number that was and is no more. for example, you counted, one, two, three, four, five, pon, six, seven.... however pon was removed from the "system" by "da man" and the Rcc to increase their wealth. so if you had $10 using pon, it became $11 without pon becasue pon became six in counting - make sense?! didn't think so LOL it really became quite an interesting typeversation.

Some more questions: If we are going forward in time, does that mean we can go backwards in time, or turn left or right, or go up or down, or slam on the brakes, or even take a wrong turn? And will we ever arrive in the future, at the end of time, or are we just kidding ourselves? Just going to cool off my brain for a while, or is that for an eternity? I think only God may know that answer possibly..... ;D Andy.
