I see where you are coming from genesda, but I don't guess I can believe that. Oh well, we all have our on opinions. I am glad to see what you thought about that. Thanks for sharing that.

I disagree with you. The verses are clear. 15 I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. 17Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. They are talking to the church here. This is not a message to the non-Christians. Ronda I don't disagree with one word posted above. What I take issue with is the rest of the rapture theories that claims this is the beginning of a 7 year period with all of the other stuff added on. The second coming of Jesus is what you wrote about, not the rapture theories that are in circulation throughout the Christian world.

Gene said Where in the Bibe does it say that this Earth is left baren with no one left here alive? <>< Do you think when everything melts with a fervant heat that doesn't mean everything including the wicked humans? Humans will be destroyed long before a bridge or automobile by fervant heat. Paul said the wicked will be destroyed at the return of Jesus. Peter and Paul agree on what happens with Jesus' return.

Show a future 7 year period. How does 490 years become over 2000 years.
You've shown nothing to prove any of the above is true. You are in grave error.

No, Genie, you are in error, and seeing your responses to others in this thread and other threads......I simply will not waste anymore of my time arguing with you. Ronda The truth is that you have no argument and don't want to post what you believe because you will be shown YOUR ERROR.
If you accept the "rapture doctrine" as it is taught in almost all of the churches, you've fallen for a Jesuit lie and don't want to see the truth because you will then have to make a decision whether to stay where error is being taught as truth or move on to where truth is preached. Many people can't stand being faced with such decisions and you appear to be one of them.

gene, It always brings a smile to me when I see you state that the Jesuits invented the rapture theory when the RCC does not believe in the rapture. Blessings, Ann

What I don't understand in this whole "rapture" debate is how the imagery of exactly who is LEFT BEHIND got switched around. The analogy in Matthew is of Noah and his family. The righteous were left behind, not the sinners. And this whole "secret rapture" thing makes me laugh. And the idea that there are multiple judgement days, second chances, etc. is so strange to me. Isn't Matthew 25:1-13 clear on this issue?
Oh, well.... Carry on. Just wanted to throw in my $.02.
Peace, LJ

gene, It always brings a smile to me when I see you state that the Jesuits invented the rapture theory when the RCC does not believe in the rapture. Blessings, Ann The idea of a one man antichrist who appears at sometime in the future most certainly is a Jesuit lie. There are many variations of the "rapture theory" because all churches which believe this nonsense are not all of the exact same belief.
