Have I just been ignorant to the world... 1) until last year - maybe the year prior - i'd never heard about flu shots 2) early polling/voting places - the only type i knew of was in way of absentee ballots... since 4 years ago i was still in michigan is this stuff a southern thing or was i just clueless

I live in Illinois and we've been getting flu shots for years now. My little sister has asthma and getting sick usually triggers it. So everyone in the house gets a flu shot every year to help us not get sick so she won't get sick and have an asthma attack. I think she's the only one getting on this year because of the shortage.

Never bother getting a flu shot... if I'm going to catch something, the kids will bring it in for me. Well, that, and I'm immune to the flu; it's one of the many benefits indestructability can bring.

thanks - especially from il since you were a neighboring state. just never remember hearing about it when i was in michigan all those years! Yeah, I didn't know anything about them until we started to get them because of my sister.
