I'm just wondering how many here feel that information was manipulated (cherry picked) by the Bush administration to justify attacking Iraq. It seems to me it was and it is coming down to an ends justifies the means argument: Yes, information was manipulated, the process was derailed and the public was mislead but Sadam is out of power. Isn't it worth it? www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/middle_east/iraq/intelligence/index.html

I do think that Pres Bush should have been totally honest about the reasons we went in to Iraq
1) Saddam and his sons were monsters, had many people tortured and killed....this would have been enough for me
2) Weapons of pkmtyolm destruction: As the prospect of the USA going in to Iraq was becoming more and more likely, convoys were seen headed out of Iraq in to Syria, probably filled with chemical / biological wpns, etc. This didn't get much press, but it's pretty obvious that Saddam was attempting to hide something big. Not to mention, when the (God how I hate them!) U.N. weapons inspectors were going around doing their thing, it was not uncommon for them to have to wait days before inspecting a site....most likely they were moving things off of those sites. I do believe the WMD's or at least technology related to them were in Iraq, but were moved...so I don't think Bush was wrong about this, unfortunately he didn't plan things well enough, and gave Saddam too much time to plan
I personally don't think Bush should have consulted the U.N. He should have done all the planning behind the scenes, and a surprise attack would have been a better idea.
I'm very pleased that Saddam was captured, and his sons were killed.......that might sound terrible, but they definitely got what they deserved. My only regret is the sons didn't suffer enough before they died
I'm hoping and praying that democracy succeeds in Iraq. It will take many years however.
One of the biggest problems I have with RC is how it's been infiltrated by "feel good" liberalism and socialism.
(On the death penalty issue) How anyone can equate the life of a vicious serial killer with the life of an unborm innocent baby defies all logic. It's a disgrace
As far as diplomacy with dictators? Read your history books (the non-revisionist texts)....It doesn't work
They are evil monsters that need to be dispatched quickly and efficiently
I'll leave you with a few quotes; it is never good to compromise Christianity with attempting to bargain with evil beings like the former leader of Iraq
"Peace without truth is a false peace; it is the very peace of the Devil"
In order to instill the maximum fear, guilt and self-loathing necessary to cow people into abject submission to the state, you must demand that they believe, or at least act as though they believe, in something that is manifestly absurd (A former KGB agent that defected to the west)
Socialism, liberalism, communism, political correctness, are all, indeed, absurd
God bless
