I'm trying to feign shock over Bush picking Roberts for the top spot.

I'm trying to feign shock over Bush picking Roberts for the top spot. No kidding...I knew it would happen. I just wish it was later than now. The court will soon be stacked to over turn so many years of progess.

At least he can only really gain one conservative on the bench, since Rehnquist was a conservative and is being replaced with one. O'Connor was the big loss. Maybe balance-minded folks will prevail on the next pick.

Donkeydude,
What kind of "progress" are you talking about?

Donkeydude, What kind of "progress" are you talking about? Part of me would love to answer that, but I know it would only re*** in argument. Not something I'd like to do. I'll simply say that I am not looking forward to a more conservative court.

I'll simply say that I am not looking forward to a more conservative court. I think you know me. I'm not here to yell at you or anything, I'm just curious what you think that the court has done well. Several things come to my mind that you might say, but I don't know if that is what you are thinking about.
