This was definitely laid on my heart yesterday at church evening service. There were three missionaries there. I unfortunately have the memory span of a two year old so not too many details are remembered. Anyway, number 1 was a Scott Nolan (Nolen? well get the sound at least?) and he is missionary in South Asia (India... Bangledesh... man I do not enjoy my memory at these times). He told a story of an old retired missionary who was on his way home in India and the Holy Spirit laid on him to pick up this person and so he did and the person end up saved. The amazing thing? He has brought a load of people to Christ now. Teaching evagelists, helping spread the Word. Great. Really moved me deep anyway. Pray for more to come to christ there and that a proposed join between the South Carolina Baptist Association (I think that's what it is) goes through. Anyway then was a guy from Shanghai, China the head of figuring out the stuff there (church is partner with the Shanghai movement). He asked for prayer for persecution. The people there are ready and want to be persecuted... ready fo a big movement for Christ. That made me all teary and I haven't cried in a while at least not from the feeling I had then. People want to be persecuted in China to help the good and might Lord and most of us aren't willing to give much. Anyway, final guy was in Middle East missionary group and told another great story. They went to feed people in Iraq and after it was over someone asked why they were doing it for them and a guy with him said 'We're Christians and we love you' (something to that effect) and the guy who had asked looked up and said 'We've been waiting for years for someone to love us.' T Such a great night. Please send prayers for them. We got a prayer calender thing with 33 families to pray for in missions and if I remember to do it I'll post one of them each day for the 33 days of the thing.
Now a bit of selfishness in this great story. I feel worse than awful right now. Please pray for me. Pray for me to be able to pkmtyolp my GED Saturday and go where God wants me. Pray God reveals His plans for me to me soon. Just pray for me please... 1st day on the calendar...
