...for me. I am about to start teaching a church school cpkmtyoll for Pre-K and Kindergarten next Sunday. This is the first time I have stood in front of a cpkmtyollroom in about 15 years. I want to make it fun for the children and be able to share my love of Christ with the children while balancing it with the church curriculum. I suffer from anxiety attacks and want so badly to make this a good experience for all. I know that with the Lord's help and your prayers I can get past day one.
Thank you,
Lisa

Lisa --- I have an excercise for you. I want you to write down your specific anxieties on a piece of paper, just make a list. ("I'm afraid they'll laugh at me, I'm afraid to fail, I'm afraid of freezing, etcetera...") Now fold that paper up really small, make a boat if you know how; and find a fast-flowing creek or river (a toilet will do if you absolutely can't); and read 1Peter5:7 aloud as you cast your paper-boat into the river. Now --- when you stand before the children, and you feel the knot forming in your stomach --- your heart begins to race, your mind begins to flutter; but you think: "NOPE, can't do that; I cast that anxiety on Jesus, I no longer have it, HE has it now! It's GONE, and I'm not TAKING IT BACK. I saw it fade into the distance, washed away. Just as my own sins were washed away." He's more than a "ticket-to-Heaven", Lisa; He is our SUBSTANCE! "I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life I now life in the flesh I live by faith in the One who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me." Gal2:20. Don't think the"boat-thing" is silly. It will provide a tangible memory, bringing home your "releasing it to Christ". You are afraid because you are trying so hard; let it go, and let HIM work THROUGH YOU. God bless you! (Prayin' for you...)
