I'm "babysitting" my 16 year old sister Sunday and Monday while my parents take an overnight a couple hours away to visit some thing (don't remember what exactly). Anyway, since she's 16 I don't have to do TOO much, but I have to make sure she and her boyfriend aren't here at the house alone and make sure I know where she is all the time and if she is at houses she is supposed to be at, places she's allowed to go, etc. She and I don't get along well. She's a typical 16 year old with an attitude. She doesn't like it when I try to advise my mom on things about what she can and can not do". I'm trying to instill some Christians values (which my parents have a lot of, but not all) into her life (like her style of clothes, etc.) and always get the "you're not my mom" whine.
So, if you could pray that I can hold my temper and make wise, smart decision this weekend I would appreciate it. I'll be in charge and I know she and I will end up butting heads at some point. That and I want to be able to enjoy my holiday weekend as well and don't want to be at the house 24/7 to makes sure she isn't here alone with her boyfriend or friends. Since she is 16 she can be home alone and can be out and about at friends houses so I don't necessarily have to be home all the time. I'll stop rambling now, I just want this to go smoothly.
Thanks.

Don't get offended, but I can't help but laugh at your situation.
But I will pray for you. God Bless

It is silly, but it also gives me a headache knowing what I'm getting into. I know my sister and she doesn't like being told what to do, even from my parents, and then me, her older sister have that authority, I know it won't be an easy two days. But yes, it is funny!

I'll make sure to pray for peace of mind. Thanks. I'm heading to bed. I have to work in the morning. Getting up at 6:00 am. That's a terrible thing to have to do on a Saturday. At least I have Monday to sleep in.

There are 10 years between my youngest sister and I. I have so been in your shoes. I do not envy your holiday weekend and I will pray that she behaves herself.
