Sister Judah... We are little by little whittling it down....I know that we will hit our first goal, getting the symposium paid for, before the 8th....I don't know, it's just a feeling I have...and Glory Hallelujah! it feels like God is moving! The next goal will be to have the hotel paid for, then we can breath and see if we can come up with some extra spending money....baby steps, and staying within God's will....that's what we need to do....just watching God work, and my co-workers watching that I am not stressing about this, instead, keeping it bathed in prayer....well, let's shout it to the mountains, shall we! [glow=yellow,2,300]GOD IS GOOD!!!!!![/glow]

Got an email tonight from AAMOM with you in mind - she was asking for some prayer cover for you - just wanted to share the love. I told her about the htread here. tonight's prayers are ...prayer scriptures...
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Psalms 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. (Psalms 86:6-7)
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. (1 Peter 3:12)
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; (Luke 18:1)
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (James 1:6)

Hi, Everyone! It's soo good to see everyone from the old board, and some new "faces" as well! This fine day, I am asking for your prayer support for my youngest daughter...some of you know her as Brat...she has the opportunity of a lifetime, to go to Washington, D.C. to pick up awards for and to qualify for scholarships for poetry. This trip will take place in August, the beginning total was 2000.00, so far we have raised 755.00, and we are running into a dry spell. We have asked quite a few folks to sponsor her, but as you can see, we are falling way short of where we need to be. Please pray that God will open the doors, that He will open our eyes to opportunities, and that she will be able to take this trip. Thank you, everyone....I really appreciate it. YSIC, ThemamaB Psalms 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Time is getting closer and God is working on it and I haven't forgotten...love to you in Jesus name, Vada

Kelly, I sent you an email the day that I got it, which was a couple of days ago.....I'm sorry, I suppose that I should have let you know here, too.... Thank you so much for your support, it was more than generous...your prayers are still coveted, and, Kenosis, keep it up, girl! You are doing this mama a world of wonders, let me tell you....your prayers and those of others praying for me and my girl are not going unnoticed or unfelt, they are making a difference and all I can say is.......[glow=purple,2,300]TO GOD BE THE GLORY![/glow] Thank you, both of you for your faithfulness.

ThemamaB, You should look around your house and you might see things you can just live with out and have a huge yard sale. My husband and I had one a month or so ago and we really didnt have much stuff, just stuff we had around that we never use and made $800.00 the first day. the 2nd day we made about $600.00. We couldnt belive it! most of the stuff we were just going to take to the dump. we didnt think anyone wanted it, let alone pay for it. It's just a idea. Some people think they dont have anything worth anything but we were wrong. people pay for other peoples stuff. good luck, and let us know. I'm still praying and will keep praying. In Gods Love, Kelly

[glow=red,2,300]Praise God for you wonderful, interceding, faithful brothers and sisters![/glow] Much love, Goodmorning - this won't hijack your thread and send it in a different direction - because it is posted in the 2 forums I post in most often. but I post it here because you've been gone and don't know yet.. ;D but I had a name and life change.. I had posted this earlier - but I chose the wrong title for my thread - this is my favorite forum - so I want all to know who I am now that I can use my REAL name again... so sorry for changing subject title - but I love you all and when I say Vada and not Judah - I want you to know!!! WOW!!!! My mail just came and... I just got the best news ever(well, not EVER - JESUS is the best news ever)! - I get to take my birth name back!!!! I was raped in July 2001 and my Alicia and I went into hiding until court was over and settled. (And we could be safe) so we changed our names through the court system and had to hide out in a battered women’s shelter while doing so. Then, moved. I’m free and it is all due to the wonderful and marvelous grace of God!!! The reason I am posting is so that you will all know me - by my OWN , REAL name...I am so excited!!! I will email everyone on my list but also wanted to post so that those of you who wish to contact me will not wonder what is going on when you see other names on my email addy - I will stick with the board name kenosis though. (as it hold special, precious, hard fought for, meaning to me - my meaning). DRUM ROLL PLEASE .... INTODUCING: Vada Rose formerly known as Judah Mendiola my email will be Vada_Rose@hotmail.com (underscore between Vada and Rose) I will import all email for awhile but eventually wish to be ME - ya!!!!! Thank you all for your kind and loving support and prayers as I worked through all of this. ***another drum roll************ first time using my new (old, real) name: Love. Your sister in Christ, Vada So I will continue to pray for your fund raiser - and for God to meet needs. as always, you are in my prayers. love to you. your sister in Christ, Vada

Vada... Thank you for sharing that with me...I think that I had replied somewhere about that, but thank you for reminding me...I know you must be so relieved to have some semblence of normality back, some sense of self...Praise God that you have been able to get your own name back. Thank you for your continued prayers....I am so humbled by your concern and your intercession. Thank you so much for being there for me, asking intercession to the Father for me and my little one. God bless you, Sister. Kelly, thank you for the thought! That was just what my youngest came up with! We are going to work through the week getting stuff together and hopefully will have a go at a garage sale this weekend or the next, depending on how quickly we can get ourselves together! I think I have to work this weekend, so most likely it will be next...that way we have time to prepare for it and get the necessary tables. ;D Well, everyone, off to bed for me....thank you again for all of your prayers! [glow=orange,2,300]THEY ARE WORKING!!!![/glow] God bless each and everyone of you...
