I do believe a moderator has a right to edit out anything in a post that goes against the site rules, but no one should tamper with, add or subtract, when normally quoting someone else. I had this happen to me a long time ago, and I was extremely angry. The person added in there own line into my quote. I don't remember the thread...but it is wrong to misquote people.
God bless

As a former mod I do know that if we edited anything out we were told that we could say replace the word s*** with crap or something else that was less offensive but still allow the meaning of the post to come across.
So it's not a whole cut and dry scenario, there's a WHOLE lot of grey when it comes to moderating. I know the mods try to do the best they can.

I know that most of the Mods do try to be as conservative as possible. But adding in complete lines to change the meaning of someone's quote should be totally off-limits. Better to delete the post than to speak for someone else. When it happened to me, the line added in did slightly alter my intention. I felt pretty violated. (The person was not a Moderator). I have always liked your Mod style; you are very careful and fair God bless

I think the best way to handle that situation is to talk to the mod in PMs and see if something can be worked out. But Snotty did put the mods in charge and since he obviously doesn't come around here someone has to take charge. Seems to me there is only one mod left and that burden has fallen on her. We should all be in prayer for her as it is a hard job with help, I can't image alone.

God bless
