Chrsitian 1986: We shall ony serve God one day, if we chose to accept all that he has given, and forgiven for us. It is the free will that he had, special for human-man; something he did NOT offer the angels, and why those who revolted can not seek atonement. Larry

Larry To revolt against someone or something requires a deliberate act of the will. When God said in Genesis "Now let us make Man in our image", was He referring to Himself and His angels, or just the Holy Trinity with whom He is one? BTW, I get your point about free-will, though what I don't understand is why the people who reject Him won't have any say about how they spend eternity separated from Him. But then, I suppose they have rejected their Maker's offer of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ and His guarantee of an eternally abundant life with Him. Andy.

Christian 1986 Andy: Yes, with the free will those who chose not to accept the free gift of life, must forfeit that upon death, to live in eternal death. This is the reason that we must do all we can to spread the word of salvation as far and as fast as possible.
I also believe the Eternal God will judge our actions. Christ gave us eternal life just for the asking, but James tells us that the truely penetant Christian spends his life in service to others, not trying to obtain the gifts of this world. I really don't see how so many religious leaders get hung up on James. Christ didn't seek, nor want material wealth, and nether should those who seek to follow him.
