I have currently been discussing this with a very close friend of mine. I have formed a thought about the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. I will present a case for it here. I do not fully believe this due to any conclusions because it has been VERY hard to research.
Here's the case:
Was it the fruit that really caused man to realize about good and evil or it was it that when they sinned by disobeying that they gained that knowledge? Just something to think about really. I am for the thought that it was the sin that caused the knowledge of good and evil and even that they were naked becaused God gave it to them after they brought sin in the world.
I'll post a little bit later on on why this is important for other thoughts in the Bible.
Thanks all! -CubeX

God said it was the fruit, and kicked them out lest they eat from the tree of life next. Seems fairly clear to me.

I don't believe it was the fruit per se. The Lord God used the fruit as a temptation, which they succumbed too. We know the rest of the story.... <><

That darn free will issue again. I don't think we humans are smart enough to deal with free will, hence the whole eating of the fruit in the first place. If it wasn't for that, childbirth would have been much nicer, and I'd probably have more kids.
