How's that for a hot topic!
LOL~
Personally, I don't care what people do behind closed doors, it's none of my business.
How do you all feel?
Are you bothered by homosexuality and why?
I'm a straight person, but homosexuals do not bother me in the least bit.....I have known quite a few in my life that are pretty cool and are some of the nicest people that I have met.
If you are a christian, do you discriminate? Why?
OR.....do you follow the bible for yourself and "live and let live?"

Do I have a problem with homosexuals? No. I have had friends who are gay, and they can be very nice people.
Is the homosexual lifestyle compatible with Christianity? No. It is clearly forbidden as a sexual deviancy by the Bible.

Someone has to explain to me what is wrong with any two people loving each other. As long as two consenting adults want to marry and/or live together as a couple, who am I (or who is anyone) to say otherwise? As for what is says in the Bible about it - that's just bunk. Any book that is used as an excuse to discriminate against others in the name of God isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Any human should be able to discern between crap and truth - use your hearts, people.

Agreed! Its not a choice I would probably make for myself..at least not at this point in time, but..its not a choice I need make for others either.
I find it odd that people will focus on the "sexuality" part of it so much. For those of you who are married..or in a long term relationship I would ask this:
What percentage of your relationship is focused on "sex"? I realize in new relationships its a big part..but I can tell you, having been married for 18 years..its a small part of our relationship..

If you choose to ignore the advice contained within its pages, then okay. But your reward will be eternal punishment in a lake of fire, not eternal bliss with the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:8-10: 8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers. 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Go by His wisdom, and not your feelings, which Satan can influence in order to deceive and destroy you. Satan says to the unwise, "If it feels good, do it." They accept his advice and perish. God Bless, Andy.

I didn't say it was. I said that the parts in it about homosexuality being "wrong" or a sin are bunk. Try to read what is said before respoding.
In your opinion.
Do you have any fear cards? No? Go fish.
It's a pity that you think that this was written by God. What's an even greater pity is that you are so hypnotized that you think this is a valid reason to discriminate against homosexuals.
Actually, no. Learning from your mistakes and experiences is the beginning of wisdom. And why would anyone fear God? Sorry, that one has never made sense to me.
Unfortunately, you think there is a difference between these two.
Is that the guy hiding in my closet at night?
This is the part where I feel scared and repent, right?
Enjoy your week-

I love when people use this verse to back up their views condemning homosexuality, but there is a problem the word homosexual didn't exist when the Bible was written and compiled. You are using bad translation to justify your prejudices against homosexuals. Below is the detailed etymology of the word and it 20th century origins. The noun is first recorded 1912 in Eng., 1907 in French. In technical use, either male or female; but in non-technical use almost always male. Slang shortened form homo first attested 1929. The alternative homophile (1960) was coined in ref. to the homosexual regarded as a person of a particular social group, rather than a sexual abnormality. Homo-erotic first recorded 1916; homophobia is from 1969. If you do a little research into Biblical translations you'll find the closest English word for the verse is effeminate which has little to do with sexuality and more with gender roles. Try again my friend.

Heathen,
I'm really not bothered by your opinion of me. If you decide to ignore what God says, then okay. You will continue to make the wrong moral choices in life and end up condemning yourself to Hell. That's your choice, but the Lord Jesus Christ gave up His life on the cross so that sinners like you and I could be reconciled to God the Father. By the way, the Bible was written by many people under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God.
And I don't discriminate against homosexuals, except in the area of their sexual immorality which is a sin in the sight of God. He loves the sinner but not his/her sinful behaviour, and I am commanded by God to do the same. God is Holy and cannot and will not tolerate sin. You choose to commit unholiness of any kind and you perish. The choice is yours to make.
Andy.

More than anything, I look forward to the day that you "see the light". I know that you believe that you already have, and that's fine. Please don't delude yourself into thinking that evangelizing to me has any sort of effect on me. I do not sit here and quake in my boots wondering about the fate of my soul. Proselytize all you want, but your motivations and fears are no mystery to me. Using fear tactics and quoted verse are akin to trying to convince me that the sky is green and the gpkmtyolr is blue. I know better, and frankly, you are out of your league.

The "sin" of Sodom and Gomorrah was NOT homosexuality..dig a little deeper and you will see that it was actually the neglect of the poor that was their sin..

So, according to you, God didn't wipe out the people of Sodom and Gomorrah because they committed homosexual immorality with one another, as well as other sins? Andy. Correct, the sexual sins of Sodom and Gomorrah were infidelity, prostitution, and rape. Homosexuality is not mentioned and the only way that so many manage to draw that conclusion is because of another bad translation. The hebrew text of the old testement is butchered beyond belief in many of the commonly used translations. When the men of Sodom ask "where are the men...the orginal hebrew would is better translated as person. The sex was not know and they simply wanted to engage in mob rape/orgies. Those were the sexual sins of Sodom and Gohmorrah.

So homosexual behaviour is not a sin? I certainly can't prove that it is, at least not from what I've read and researched from the Bible. Especially since Jesus himself never spoke of it.
