Our new pastor decided we would have our first foot washing service last week. At first I said NO I wouldn't do it then the pkmtyolpage was read about Peter saying to Jesus NO and Jesus replied that if he didn't do it he would have no part in Jesus. So I decided to go through with it. It turned out better than I thought.
Thoughts?

growing up we never had the actual washing of the feet. when it's done in good taste and not a matter of church politics - it's a nice reminder. persoanlly we have other Eastertide traditions that are more moving for me so foot washing or not, it's not a major concern in my book. glad you enjoyed the service!

Foot washing services are okay, as long as the feet belong to people who bathe on a regular basis, at least twice a week, and there's not some ugly fungus infection living on them. Yuk!!
