it's hard to explain and maybe the others will have a better explaination for you but.... basically pon was a number that was and is no more. for example, you counted, one, two, three, four, five, pon, six, seven.... however pon was removed from the "system" by "da man" and the Rcc to increase their wealth. so if you had $10 using pon, it became $11 without pon becasue pon became six in counting - make sense?! didn't think so LOL it really became quite an interesting typeversation. Sounds a bit like when an electrical store sells a hi-fi system for £799 instead of £800, hoping to fool us customers into thinking we're getting a great deal. They must think we're idiots. Brain's cooled off a bit. Brain fixed!! YIPPEE!!!

Say they're not Catholics trying to convert us to their way of thinking by making us £1 better off? And who is da' man? Is he the main man, the Boss, or is he the deputy boss, vice-president maybe? Only kidding!!! Promise I won't do a gene or a Prot on you, Marysia!

Oh hang on a minute, I must have been talking "reverse pon" or "counter-pon" or "anti-pon" pon there! Never mind. Happy ponning, guys.....
Andy.
P.S: How do you like your pon? Raw, rare, tender, well done, hard boiled, soft boiled, medium boiled, baked, fried, barbecued, microwaved, with or without artificial ingredients?

Very interesting topic, Andy!
We perceive time going forward because we cannot at this time remember the future. (Unless you are psychic and you see yellow milk cartons before you actually have yellow milk cartons, in which case you do remember the future ;D)
Time is simply a device we use for order though.
Quantum physics says time moves forward since the establishment of time at the big bang, as things began moving at all..and as the universe expands, time's arrow continues to point forward.
However, should the universe beging collapsing on itself, it is possible that time will stop..and then begin running backwards, so that we will remember the future, but not the past.
And what is time anyway? It is the interval between two events that we use to distinguish those two events.
Perhaps in those other dimensions, time is not a factor..can you even imagine "timelessness?"

And what exactly is philosophy? Any ideas? Belief in God, Satan, Hell, Heaven, Sin These are examples of philosophies!

Why can I not see my post and it's saying I have "chosen to ignore this person..."?

We need philosophies because they are the way that we make any sense out of our world and experience. We cannot help but to have them. Beliefs may or may not be based on a philosophy. More likely, they fit into a philosophy.

There are people on here that seem to be on my permanent ignore lists when I am using Firefox, even though I click the link to unignore them. I can see everyone's posts just fine with IE. Then again, I hardly come here any more, so I don't need to worry about that particular problem.
