I had a conversation with a friend the other day, and it went something like this:
Friend: "I believe that our names were written in the Book of Life before we were born."
Me: "What do you mean?"
Friend: "It says in the Bible that God chose us, that we didn't choose Him."
Me: "What about those who won't be saved? Are their names in the Book too, or has God predestined them to go to Hell?"
Friend: "Their names are removed from the Book of Life once they have rejected Christ."
Me: "I thought only the names of those who have been saved are in the Book of Life."
Friend: "No, everybodys' names were in the Book to begin with, and only the names of those who go on to reject Christ are removed."
That night I thought about what my friend had said, and wasn't sure what to believe about this.......
What do you folks think? Andy.

I don't know that there are any Biblical pkmtyolpages to completely answer your question, but your friend's suppositions make sense to me. God predestines people to salvation, but there is no Biblical support that He predestines anyone to condemnation.
