Gospel of Judas? Nothing more than heretical garbage that wasn't even written by him.

Hi, Bob!
The timing for the writing of the Gospel of Judas coincides with other Gnostic writings which have all been dismissed as heretical, as Andy pointed out.
Obviously, none of us has read it, but the excerpts the Media have released made me smile. If I were a reviled historic character (or was sympathetic to one) this is the kind of thing I would write too. To whit: "You are set apart, I'll give you special knowledge the others won't have" bla bla bla. Frankly, I was unimpressed. It didn't strike me as particularly creative.
What are your thoughts?
Blessings, Steve

I do have to say, the guy who put the codex into a safe-deposit box for over a decade must be a total doofus head. If he didn't know what he had, why was he demanding a million dollars for it? And if he did know what he had, why was he so careless about it? Yup, he's a doofus head.

Yup. He definitely qualifies as one who is denser than Mensa.
