This is enteresting....think it is the beginning of something???Goodbye UPC bar codes Wednesday, July 9, 2003 Posted: 9:09 AM EDT (1309 GMT) There could be some very invasive uses of these techniques if merchants use the tracking technology to spy on their customers after purchase. -- Marc Rotenberg, Electronic Privacy Information Center WASHINGTON (AP) -- Razor blades and medicines packaged with pinpoint-sized computer chips and tiny antennae to send retailers and manufacturers a wealth of information about the products -- and those who buy them -- will start appearing in grocery stores and pharmacies this year. Yep, it's pretty scary. Nobody seems to mind that they make these changes w/o any imput from the consumers, but that really show us that the powers that be have no intention of asking for our opinion. They have their own agenda. Very interesting article, ty for sharing it
God bless

I heard about a similar thing they are doing in Europe and going to start over here.
It's radio transmitters in clothes!
The transmitter will be used to keep track of what each person buys so the salesperson can better recommend items the consumer may be interested in.
It would also be used for inventory.
Personally... I don't like the idea of wearing a radio transmitter.

In the time it took for me to write this post, I wrote my congressman to call for a law that would require these to be removed or inactivated, once you leave the store.
My congressman wants to be re elected, dosen't yours?
They can't shove this down our throats unless we roll over and let them.
I personally have no problem using this technology for supply line tracking and even customer preference tracking, for we already employ technology that does this, but it is a violation of my privacy for the manufacturer to know how many times a week I change my underwear!
Again, write your congressmen(women). They will listen. This technology itself isn't bad or evil, until it is employed in such a way that violates the constitution.
America is poised to lead the way in the regulation of this technology, but only if my fellow americans take 2 minutes to jot down their objections and click "send".
Won't you join me?

Personally, I'll be glad to see this sin-soaked world brought to an end. I think what God allowed to happen in the first place, in the book of Genesis with the original temptation and sin, was bad enough! I shall weep no tears over the end of this Age. Let's just make sure we all have our pkmtyolpports to Heaven at hand. I ain't leaving without mine! Your Brother in Christ, Andy.

Well, it put the icing on the cake. There is a company here in Southern Florida that is working on a modification of the chip thats used to keep track of pets. The chip used in pets is inserted behind the neck and can be used to track lost pets. The chip thats being designed will be able to use GPS to track those inplanted. They are also working on other features, such as communications, and thats right, using the chip to buy and sell (Like a implanted credit card)
Wish I could remember the name of the company here that was working on it.

This reminds me of Minortiy Report..when Toms' character walks into the Gap and they scan his eyes and ask him how he liked his last purchase (then named what it was)......I'm sure that is soon to come as well.
It is scary but it also makes my feel at peace in a way to know that He is coming! For the time being thought it will not be pleasant! It hasnt been thought for awhile.

I don't like nanotech, because I know what's going to become of it, but like daydreamer said, it just means we're headin' home.

That is a bit creepy. I definetly do not want my clothes spying on me! Besides, I am not willing to give up my privacy for something so meaningless. Call me old-fashioned, but when I want to know when milk has expired, I read the expiration date. And, I do not want to give up barcodes. At least they make life easy enough I can scan my own CDs or groceries when my family goes shopping...and they are visible and do not spy on me. And then what would they do with our school ID cards....put spying chips on those? Right now we have barcodes, which I do not find as threatening as chips.

That's creepy, like big brother stuff! I don't think I like the idea of being tracked by micro-chips. That's defenately an invasion of privacy!

Most likely the same company that has already started implanting people for medical information. Yep, last year they implanted an entire family, cause the dad had some medical condition in which he had attacks and couldn't respond to tell them what was wrong. Of course, none of the hospitals had the technology necessary to read the chips anyway, but the point was to get it started. They've already started implanting people with chips for GPS tracking also, those who believe they may be kidnapped, politicians and their kids, etc.. Won't be long now.

Mornin' everybody. We used to kid about the info left behind on your computer for the IRS to find during an audit. The solution was to have a large magnet from an old loudspeaker handy. You simply pkmtyolp it over your hard drive and .....WHAMMO! clear as crystal! Everything gone. pkmtyolp one over the "chip" and it too, will be just another bump. God bless, Pierre
ps Radio stations clear a tape by rubbing it on a magnetic base. I believe that you could do it with a CD too.
