Ordered Steps
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” – Psalm 32:23.
Usually when I think of God’s ordering of our steps I think in general and broad terms. I think of God’s plan for my life. I think of the general direction that He would have me to go in the different areas of my life. Is the career I have chosen His choice? Is this the house He wants us to buy? Should I accept the call to another church?
While I was at the Falls Creek youth camp last week God demonstrated to me once again that He is able to literally order my steps. The youth camp is spread out over a fairly large area and each church (or in our situation several smaller churches) stays in a different cabin. The youth group from the church which I had been pastor of previously was also at the camp.
I visited at their cabin twice during the week and was able to talk with all of the young people except for one girl, Elizabeth. While I was at their church Elizabeth and her mother had been in a serious vehicle accident. Elizabeth had experienced a compound fracture of her leg and was in the hospital for quite a while. I wanted to see how she was doing physically and if she had recovered from the emotional trauma of the accident.
Since I had missed Elizabeth twice I had thought I would not see her at camp but God had something else in mind. Each evening I had been serving in the counseling rooms as a pastor/advisor for those who responded to the invitation. With over five thousand attending the services there was a large response to the invitation each night and especially on the last night. The last night during the invitation I went to the chapel where I had been serving. Since there was an unusual response to the invitation to respond to special service (vocational ministry) I was asked along with three other pastors to go to that area. As I approached the special service area I saw Elizabeth in the group of about 40 people waiting to enter. Since there was urgency I was only able to say hello to her. I visited with one young man who felt called to youth ministry and after we had prayed together I went to find the next person I was to talk to. Elizabeth was that next person! Only God could do that!
God is able to literally order our steps and those of others to bring about His will in our lives. There is nothing, which is beyond the reach or capability of God in my life or in yours.

Cool..
Reminds me of a time I helped a friend... We had our phone cut off but we left our computer on the internet so that didn't get cut off till the next day.. And we never leave our computer on all night.. I felt that I needed to get on it that night and check on him.. Turns out he needed someone to talk to.. So, the phone being cut off was a good thing in that way.. If I remember right we actually had the check in the mail but they cut it off anyhow I guess cause it wasn't there yet..
God bless,
Jenn

After all it does say in the Bible: (Rev 1:8 NIV) "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." HE was there in the Beginning, He is here in the present and HE will be here in the end. How could HE not know what's best for you and what will bring HIM delight in your life. God even knows what choices we will make now and in the future. If HE wants to change something HE can. After all, isn't that what a LOVING Father would do?? YES But HE'll Also let us go through some storms so that we can learn from them. HE may also use a storm to prepare you for something that has not yet happened.

Are you somehow getting into my own life? Cause I've gone through some storms and they turned out to be for the better and actually showed me some things I had not seen before... And I should have saw those things before but I didn't.. God works in misterious ways but I'm still dumbfounded at how He works...
I've learned that I need to trust God more.. That's about what my sig. is all about... That's why I have the name I have on here... They both reminds me to trust Him.. And that's what I need to do everyday of my life.. I don't know how I could get by without Him..
He uses the bad for the good.. or something I dont like that I did for the good and to show me the truth of what was really going on.. I regreted what I had did and I shouldn't of.. Turns out I did the right thing.. I'd go into more detial but it's just something I don't want to do so with.. Not that it's bad, I just don't want to talk about it.. But God taught me some things through it.. And like I said I saw what I hadn't before...
Things are better now cause I saw what I hadn't... And I guess my faith is now stronger.. I do trust Him more now too.. I was weak then but now I am stronger.. And if something like that happens again, I'll be able to see it right away cause I learned from that.. Or almost happens.. But I know that God is taking care of me.. ;d So, I just have to keep trusting Him from now on..
He directed my steps and if I hadn't done what I did I'd still probably would be blind to it even now.. It just took someone to get all mad for no reason and say some things.. And actually hurt me emotionly.. That's as far as I'll go into it.. Which actually turned out to be a good thing.. That was just the beginning of my eyes being opened, actually I was still blind at that point but now I see.. That person apolgised and I forgave 'em 'n all but I still learned some things..
Would you believe that was only about a week or two ago?
I'm making this too long... Sorry... But I've learned to trust Him more..
I just thought I'd share this with you all, at least this much, not many detiels if any.. It's still long though..
Psalm 91 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
God bless you,Jenn

God bless you,Jenn Just think, one day we'll be in God's presence and we'll know EVERYTHING. Keep the faith and we'll be alright. I know storms will come, but I also know they'll pkmtyolp. God doesn't promise to take us out of the storms, but HE'LL go through the storms with us. I'm glad to hear that you ARE learning from your storms. Just knowing God is with us during our storms makes them all the more bearable..

AMEN JENN, and AMEN Storyteller. One day we will see God and learn what we always wondered. From the beginning to the end we will know it all! ;D
I wonder if Christ will look as John described him in Rev. 10 Characterstics of Christ (per John)
1. Like the son of Man (human in appearance) 2. dressed in a robe reaching to his feet ( after all he is our great high priest in our relaionship with God.) 3. with a golden sash around his chest. (strength and authority) 4. his head and hair were like wool, white as snow (his antiquity or righteousness) 5. eyes like blazing fire. (indignation over apostate churches, perhaps?) 6. his feet like bronze. (judgement, brazen altar of the tabernacle where sin was judged.) 7. voice like the sound of rushing waters(niagara falls, all other sounds are eliminated when you here the roar of the waves!) 8. held seven stars in his right hand (seven stars=angels of the seven churches) 9. out of his mouth came a sharp double edged sword. (hebrews 4:12) 10. his face like sun shining in all it's brilliance ( reminds us of his transfiguration, Matt17:2)
