I can get in just fine everyone.
Layer,
are you using IE? Gee, I can get in just fine.. Hmm
Click tools-> settings & go to the advanced tab.
Scroll down to Microsoft VM section. Make sure Java Console is enabled, and check JIT Compiler too while you're there.
Then go to the security tab & click the custom button. Scroll down to Microsoft VM section, and set Java Permissions to Low security.
You'll need to reboot for the stuff on the advanced tab, if you had to change it. Security will take effect if you close your browsers & open a new one.

billbo1970: Scroll down to Microsoft VM section. Make sure Java Console is enabled, and check JIT Compiler too while you're there.
layer: See, that's just it. There IS NO Microsoft VM section. You must be using an old version of IE.
But you have led me in the right direction, Bill. As soon as I get this solved, I'll share the solution with all the other people who are locked out.

I was able to get in tonight, which leads me to believe that it was a chat server issue. Ronda

AuntRonda: I was able to get in tonight, which leads me to believe that it was a chat server issue.
layer: For you, and those who HAVE been able to get in - yes. But for me, and all those who have NEVER been able to get in, it's a Java issue.
See, Microsoft got sued by Sun, the creators of Java. So they were forced to stop distributing and even supporting Java after IE5. So anyone with a newer version of Internet Explorer is left out in the cold.
But, never fear... as a confirmed geek I LOVE these types of challanges. ;D

babysis: How do you know what version you have?
layer: Open a webpage (like this one), click Help/About Internet Explorer. It's at the top.
Mine says this: Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
As I said on the Poll thread, I got the Microsoft VM plugin, I installed it, and it works!
If anyone else needs help getting Chat to work, feel free to Message me or e-mail me at: layer3maniac@hotmail.com and I'll help you get it going.

I have been in there a few times now. So,....not sure what the problem is...but it shouldn't be Explorer (sorry, but I am a Microsoft junkie...I won't use Netscape, etc...) Ah, I see you found the problem now..I was just thinking of adding that I had to download a Java Virtual Machine program to get MSN games to work....and maybe that was it...sounds like it was.
