Hello to the people of the LBMB!!! I thought you guys would like to see something very interesting. Onion, your posts look toooo familar. Either you are plagrizing or you just go to message boards to push your system of beliefs on people. Or should i say your political party's agenda? Notice Onion's first post... and then please go here and check out a person named Metaknownledge's post... they are exactly the same... amazing... www.baptist.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1080&start=0This Onion I believe also caused some other major headaches on our message board. Just a couple of points I want to touch on here. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and can express them in anyway they see fit. Even if that means going to many message boards and posting ones thoughts and beliefs and support for them. Second, I take offense to the sugestion that Onion is pushing the beliefs of the Democratic Party. Looking at one person as an example of the whole is a terrible thing to do and I would hope that no one would do that. Being a Democrat dosen't make a person an America hating godless person. Politics isn't about getting a one up on the other guy, it's about helping people. Republicans, Democrats and any other party simply want to do what what is right for the country. Not everyone will agree with everybody else, that's just life. I just wish that people would stop trying to make others look bad because they don't agree on the issues. A healthy debate on the issues keeps people interested and informed petty bickering and name calling only hurts feelings and pride. I am just as guilty as the next guy sometimes it happens we're only human. Let's keep it civil, please?

"I just wish that people would stop trying to make others look bad because they don't agree on the issues."
Well this Onion(Metaknowledge) is good at trying to making people look bad. Like i said we have had trouble with this person on our message board. Besides the personal attacks i have received by annyomous email from this person or their group.
It doesn't bother me for a Christian to be a democratic party. But someone like Onion here that just posts
"Too Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha"
Or tells people they are not Christian cause they are on the republican side is not very civil. I just thought i would give you a warning before people get personally attacked be this person.

Jeff, I, like you, was too young to really know a lot about Reagan at the time, but I remember a lot of how I FELT during his presidency, as a young child (about 10ish at the end, I think?). I know that overall I felt really good and safe as a child, and maybe that was him and maybe it was my teachers (when I was a kid, no one was so vocal about their political stance, you could usually tell if you were up to date on the hot topics, but people were actually OFFENDED if you asked...I made that mistake once of a friend of my parents...we were discussing political parties at school and I thought it would be interesting to find out what my parents and their visiting friends were...I didn't know...and they were ALL offended! I was told, in strict terms, that it is VERY rude to ask the political party of a person, and that it was PERSONAL. To this day, I don't know if my parents vote republican or democrat or other, although I believe it is republican in most cases... It helps that my mother worked for the republican recorder, and also that she always looked at me funny if I mentioned "democrat" political issues. ) But either way, I always felt that Reagan did a good job, and I haven't researched enough to find otherwise. The only "bad" thing I recall is the way I felt when I thought we might go to war...I remember being very bothered by this when I was little (maybe 7 or 8?) because I kept hearing all the talk of the arms race, and star wars and movies were coming out about nuclear war (seems like one was called "the day after" and it was HORRID, but I haven't ever found it since, or they really toned it down for video, because the movie I recall....it was TERRIBLE, and it seems they ran it on tv like a miniseries) I have to imagine, using that comparison, how my children must feel NOW, because when I was SO worried, NOTHING happened. For the kids today, though, the threat is real and it is continuing. Kids here and elsewhere, like Iraq or Afghanistan. I cannot even imagine the horrors of that life, after knowing how scared I felt thinking about the idea of nuclear war as a kid. But that was the ONLY thing I recall bad about his presidency, and even that wasn't bad, because we got through it WITHOUT nukes, and without even having a WAR. TO me, that means the man did SOMETHING right! I've actually thought a little more about it recently, and thought that I should research a little bit more about him, but it also occurred to me that with all these other presidents and candidates that we are discussing, they PUSH their mistakes out into the media and the forefront. Whatever mistakes Reagan may have made, they couldn't have been too bad, because we rarely hear about his "lies" and his "mistakes." Some say he had bad judgment in taxes and the like, however that is just normal politics. Normal politics I can handle...it is the corrupt ones that bother me!
