It seems that many of the members who frequent this board do not appear to visit the prayer forum. I have come to this conclusion by the number of hits that each prayer post has as opposed to the hits on posts in other forums.
It would seem that some would rather argue than pray for their brothers and sisters in Christ.

This thread is now showing 35 hits, yet a prayer request posted just last night is only showing 13. I am wondering how many people who have read this thread have gone to the prayer forum.
Instead of worrying about animal vs animal, insteading of arguing about evolution and the like.......why aren't we getting about the work of God and praying for others.
There is a post in the prayer forum about someone's father dying. Sad that the majority here doesn't seem to care enough about praying for others to even bother visiting. THe view counters tell the tale.

Here is more support than we ALL need to visit the Prayer Forum.
b2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. [/b[
We also know we are to pray for each other. The limited hits in the prayer forum are a symptom of a larger problem.
James 4:17Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.
We KNOW we need to pray for each other. Looking at the number of active people on this board, there are serval who don't appear to be visiting the prayer forum at all.

I saw that..in the other forums I visited..but, this was the second one.. Is it working? It did for me..but..what about the others? Hard to tell. It's time to wake people up. It's time to stop the arguements and pray for people. Sadly, I am sure there are a few who will continue to spend their on line time arguing. Ronda

To be totally honest, I come to this site for the challenging debates, and interesting different opinions on matters. I do not come here to share prayer requests. I do that with people I actually know and are personally involved in my life. I don't know if that is selfish, or what, but that is what I do. There is nothing wrong with exchanging ideas and sharing our beliefs, as long as we do so in a Christ like manner, and I will not be made to feel guilty about it. My conscience is clear.

Pray without ceasing.
To me, it doesn't matter if I actually know the person or not.....if they need prayer.....pray for them.

Pray without ceasing. To me, it doesn't matter if I actually know the person or not.....if they need prayer.....pray for them. Ronda Ronda, Many pray quietly to themselves, it doesn't mean that they are not praying, just because we don't see them do so. It may be disheartening to you, but that is within you...you cannot fault another for not being public enough with their prayers... [and hits to a thread says nothing for the number of people visiting it...I revisit my OWN threads a few times, just in the EDITING of the OP!! LOL, then I come back to see the posts, and others do the same, OF COURSE a debate is going to have far more hits to it...it is a continuing conversation, whereas a prayer request is usually a read and prayer, with some updating on ocpkmtyolcion...] In addition to telling us to pray without ceasing, the Bible also tells us to lock ourselves away in our room and pray in solitude... My comp is crashing or I would post the scripture...but I have posted it before...God hears us whether we speak aloud, or in our heads, whether we post or not, whether we share those requests or not. Prayer is a wonderful thing, but no one should feel that they aren't praying in the "proper" or "loud" enough way...God hears even those things we do not admit to ourselves! I am sure He is capable of hearing ALL of our concerns, even if no one else does! I am sorry if this comes off sounding "mean" as I do not intend it, but prayer is very sacred and personal to many people, myself included. I will tell someone what I intend to pray, or that I WILL pray, but I am truly not comfortable with praying outloud so that others hear what I say, or posting my precise prayer. With God, praying is enough...the only reason I post at ALL on prayer threads, is so that the person requesting the prayer knows that it did not get overlooked by all...or that it wasn't "worthy" of my prayers, as many can become offended in that way too. If prayer is your thing, WONDERFUL, and it is true that we are called to pray in agreement many times...but I personally have noticed that the most sincere prayers (and those most likely to be fulfilled of God) were done in private, and included God and the one requesting God's intervention. Daniel didn't go before the people to make sure they knew he was praying, Jesus went off away from the disciples when He sought to pray to God, ... all that I can recall who sought to pray to God did so in their OWN way, and to God alone...
