Studies have shown, as Philip pointed out, that there is a possible link. Whatever the case, I still ain't drinking them.

I'd have to say Dr. Pepper is my favorite, followed by Coke.
However; I am trying to kick the soft drink habit. I drink maybe 2 or 3 a week now. When I do I try to go for diet, (diet Dr. Pepper is ok, better then diet coke or pepsi).
My brother stopped drinking coke all together and lost about 15 lbs. A buddy of mine stopped drinking cola, replaced it with water and daily walking and lost 50 lbs in about 6 months.
In three weeks that I have reduced cola, drank mostly water, and started walking, I've lost 13 lbs. While I am not overly over weight, I am out of shape and have been trying to burn off a little extra. Pretty good overall I'd have to say.
PS Caffene can prevent weight loss, so in addition to not ingesting all the carbs and sugar in cola, your removing a potential weight loss blocker when you cut out all the caffene.

Studies have shown, as Philip pointed out, that there is a possible link. Whatever the case, I still ain't drinking them. There is a link, but the link is from lack of drinking milk or other calcium containing beverages, not from drinking soda. So a person can drink a case of soda a day and not suffer from loss in bone density if they also got their required amount of calcium.
